Alex
Elise
Emily
We love to photograph our families every year for their annual Christmas card. This is the Sawan kids third year with us. Little Alex looks so different from when I photographed him all bare on our sheepskin rug! - Teri
Don and Patricia Grimes and their extended family is what
family is all about. We are so happy to have them as our neighbers.
The perfect setting for their family portrait is the beach where they
live, with the Seattle skyline as their background - Manchester Bay.

Thornewood Castle is the perfect spot for a storybook wedding.

Brandon and Jennifer are the funnest (is that a word?!) couple. We had a blast in our studio this past weekend sorting through their wedding day photos to put together their storybook album. My colleague, Karie Hamilton, was kind enough to help out with the photography on their wedding day and the best part is that she is helping us make an audiovisual story of their day. I'm very excited to see and hear it!! We'll keep you posted... - Teri

Von Trotha Family
I photographed the von Trotha's the past two Christmases for their cards, as well as baby Olivia every 3 months for her 1st year. What a great family! So I was a little bummed out to have to miss their session this year, but I think Teri captured them perfectly.

I'm not sure what was going on, but Olivia sure thought it was funny!

Eric, Tracy and Olivia - I can't believe how much Olivia has grown!
I'm looking forward to your next session already! - Ashley

Avery - 15 months

Remember Avery? We haven't seen her since she was just 9 months old,
but she came back last month for her 15 month session. What a doll!

Love the curls!

Avery brought Cody this time - they are best buds.

Avery's mom says Cody copies Avery, and Avery copies Cody.
So Cody shows Avery how cool sticks are....

And Avery gets Cody to sing her a song!

It's so fun watching these babies grow up.... - Ashley

Teri and Greg went to Vegas last weekend for Lindy and Micah's wedding.
Here's a slideshow of just a few of the great shots they got. - Ashley

Just couldn't wait....
to share my engagement photos! We had so much fun in Seattle with Teri that I couldn't wait to show them!! Plus, we got a fun new slideshow program, so of course I had to experiment with that! So here's the "quick and dirty" version - no retouching or anything - I'll make a prettier one sometime soon....

I’m getting married!!

Besides being really excited about the usual things (pretty dress, yummy cake and lots of dancing) I’m SUPER excited that Teri and Greg are flying all the way to Minnesota to be my wedding photographers! I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather have there, and we’ve got some great things planned. I’ve set aside extra time before the ceremony to get some really fun photos of the whole wedding party, and of course, a ton of me and Dan. We’re getting married at the MN Landscape Arboretum, which has over 1,000 acres of beautiful spots for photos - better bring some comfy shoes Teri!! And then, when we get back from our honeymoon in Maui, we’re going to trek around Seattle for some edgy, urban type photos. Can’t wait! I’m looking forward to all the fun photos we’ll take,
and so grateful Teri and Greg are willing to do this for me.

Check out the save the date card I came up with.
We're having a photo booth at our reception so it fits, right?

Cute as a bug!

Meet Avery, new to our "Cute as a Bug" plan. We're looking forward to
photographing Avery every couple of months - she's a great model!

Avery wasn't too sure about being stuck in a tub, and then into
a box,
but we think the cute photos were worth it!

She really liked the beach though - shells and grass must not taste too bad!

I'm an Auntie! (sort of)

My best friend had her first baby on January 17th, so I flew back to MN last month to visit her (and take care of a few more wedding plans). I think Ellivia is the most beautiful baby I've ever seen (I'm not biased at all!) and I can't wait to spend more time with her. I managed to put down the baby and pick up the camera for a few photos.......

It's hard to imagine your best friend as a mom, but I think motherhood fits Taryn very well. And James is a pretty great daddy too!
Here's the birth announcement I made. Isn't she cute!?

Ellivia, you are going to be soooo sick of my camera! Can't wait to see you!!

Roman Turns One!

Roman came in for his one year session last weekend - what a cutie! He followed in big sister Josette's footsteps - we photograph him every 3 months on our Cute as a Bug Plan. This little guy is almost walking, so we let him explore outside for awhile. He was having a pretty good time.

Roman's favorite thing lately is balloons. Check out how focused he is on that!

Roman was having a pretty good time with that balloon, so needless to say he wasn't very happy when we took it away! But luckily we had something else for him.....

Roman decided he likes cake almost as much as balloons. And just like every other baby, he really loved the candle - so he was pretty upset when Dad took that away.

Mmmmm cake!!

Sarah & Tyler

I thought I should post some of our favorite weddings from 2007. Sarah and Tyler chose July 21st for their wedding day, figuring it was "safe" from rain..... Boy, were they wrong! It might have been the rainiest day of the summer!! We still managed to get some great photos outside despite all the rain. Sarah made the tough decision to move the ceremony out of the rain, under the covered pavilion, which gave the ceremony a very intimate feeling - just what Sarah and Tyler had in mind. Sarah offers some advice to engaged couples: "We love being married and encourage all couples who are engaged or planning on getting married to spend more time preparing for the success of the marriage, and not just the wedding." Here are a few of our favorite images.

Sweet Baby Sarah
"I am currently carrying my first child and have always wanted to have a professional maternity picture taken. Unfortunately, I do not have money at this current time to have them done before she is due. I am 36 weeks and she is due on January 17th. I just want 1 professional maternity picture done before she is born. I was wondering if you could donate your talents to make my Christmas Wish come true. I really admire your photography work and would be most honored if you could be my photography angel this year. This would really mean the world to me, as this has been a hard Christmas for me this year. I don't have much money and would like to have this Dream come true. If you are available to help me make this a reality, I would really be most thankful. May God continually bless you and your Business."

Well, this was sent to me from Kimberly Harris. I was out of town for Christmas, but contacted Kimberly and her husband, Greg, when I returned and was honored to be at the birth of their daughter Sarah Anne Harris on January 17th. Poor Kimberly...
Even though I camped out for the whole day of labor, at the last moment Kimberly was wheeled out for an emergency C-section. I handed my camera off to the nurse and this is what she came up with.

Sarah is a beautiful baby and we are so excited to grant Kimberly and Greg's wish for professional photography. We'll be following Sarah for the whole year and you'll be able to see her as she gets bigger and bigger.
